Painting after technology has been great! I think that all this exposure to tech has started to produce an international art movement that transcends race, age, sex and class. This art movement in painting is SUPERPAINT. Any painter that includes technological imagery as subject matter for their painting is a part of this movement whether they know this or not.

I'm going to make some new work soon. these are going to be drawings. new, fresh drawings. these drawings will be for future paintings. i love painting, it's the kind of love that lasts centuries.
One of the most interesting things about making art is how much things change. One day i will be working on a painting and then the next I will work on a new painting in an all new style. I founf this interesting because so much of history has artists who consistently did the same type of work for a lifetime. I think of Rembrant as a master because like me he too painted EVERYTHING. From portraits to landscapes he did everything. I need to find others who understand this, so that I have less of a hard time communicating why my art bounces from various subjects and styles.
I have been working on a new painting. This one is a part of the super paint movement. Although this series is inspired by the japanese pop art movement superflat. I wanted to paint pixel hearts because of how my boyfriend. He always sends me colorful hearts through text message. I feel happy every time I get a random heart from him. I thought I would paint this emotion. This declaration of love.
Every day I am a different person. Every hour, i am a different person. Every minute, I am a different person. By the time i have finished writing this sentence, I am a different person.
I want to be the very best. Like no one ever was. To make art is my real test. To imagine is my cause. I will travel across the web searching far and wide and teach the world to understand The art that is inside. It's you and me. I know it's my destiny. Art! We;re all best friends. In a world we must defend. A heart so true. Our Courage will pill us through. You teach me, and I'll teach you. Every challenge along the way. With courage I will face. I will bottle every day to claim my rightful place. Come with me, the time is right. There's no better team arm in arm., we'll the fight. It's always been our dream.
To make art is my real test. To imagine is my cause.
FIRST thing you should know about SUPERPAINT is that it used digital imagery as subject matter for painting.
Sometimes the art world makes me sad. Here in America, the identity of the artist is more important than the art work. I've noticed that many group shows are curated around a theme of identity. For example a group show of black artists or a group of women artists or gay artists. I feel like all my I've tried to transcend my body. That my mind and my imagination was something greater than the way my body looks. I have bee coming across look at identity while painting portraits for my CLASSICALWAVE series. And I do like painting skin color, but there is something beyond the paint, beyond that is more spiritual. I feel like this identity world that we are living isn't going to make much sense in the future as far as art is concerned. There are no longer art movements or styles or genres in the art. If there is, then not many people are concerned with this. Maybe this is a result of the artists who attend university and art schools that teach sociology in an ideological way. I believe that art is not the servant of any ideology, but a window into the great cosmic consciousness. I want to find artists who believe too. I want the art world to stop believe that they have a right to the personal lives of artists. I am a very private person, and when I create I want the art to be public, but now I must ask myself either or not I should allow for the diluting of my art based on who I have sex with or what I look like. I would love a world were artists can transcend their body and really show what is going on in their imaginative mind instead of being chained to their physical bodies.
I do believe my understanding of identity is going to develop after I begin paint more portraits of individual people. For in the west the individual is an icon of democracy. No where in the world have portraiture been so important. Perhaps that is why identiy politics is so seductive because once again we begin to focus on the individuals in western society.
I am organizing my my gallery section and I am having SO much fun. It's nice to look back at all the art I've made in the last year and a half. All of the memories and feelings I was going through while drawing and painting are coming up again while looking at the work I have made. I can feel the extent of my creativity. I want to be a great master artist. That is my dream. I believe I have the talent and skill. What I need know is structure. My is chaos and with order I can help bring out the true and noble ideas of the 21st century. I want to produce GREAT works of art for my generation as well as the entire world. I must learn from the great masters in order to become them. Soon the time for learning will be over and the time for doing will BEGIN :)
Now that I have a name for my art style, I feel very excited about creating. I believe I am onto to something very interesting. Works of art the defy explanation. Art is about allowing the world to take a step into the mind of. I feel refreshed and energized. I feel happy about embracing new beginnings.
I love SUPERPAINT. I mean WOW what a journey!!! I can't believe I had to research art history just to see everything come down to this. SUPERPAINT is now my favorite style. It has so many aspects formed into a great expression of true and amazing art. SUPERPAINT I LOVE YOU.
