I went to the mall to smell the colognes. I liked a coach scent that was sweet and smelled like 2019. The other scents smelled like the 00's. I saw a portrait of Kit Harrington from Game of Thrones selling cologne. He smelled okay. I felt sad because he is in a type of rehab after game of thrones for drinking.
I ate crispy tacos, they were good. In New Orleans the grocery store had crispy hard shell tacos labeled ' under the 'Hispanic' section. I think that is really funny.
Each day we get closer and closer to the digital dark age. I believe that technology follows the same pattern as art does. TECHNOLOGY is Like paintings and sculptures of art history and has both ups and downs. A classic and a dark age is the common phrase. I want to use a specific spot in art history to compare with our time: The barque and the neo-classical. I get nervous about how technology is dying. I see the signs of decadence all around, and I call this collapse techodence.
Painters like Leonardo Da Vinci of the classic renaissance concerned themselves with high intellect, rationalism and idealism in their painting. The baroque painters that come after focus on highly emotional themes instead. The sculptures by Bernini is full of exctasy and passion. Emotions and passions are not rational or ideal. When artists go from head magic to heart magic they grow from rennaissance to baroque. The artist indeed experience a decline at this point, for classics show what true man made perfection is. The first sign I saw were the Emojis of each Facebook post. With actual symbols for how one feels emotionally, Facebook begins the slippery slide into human animal nature just like a barque artist.
Another sign I see are mobile phones. In the late baroque phase, the paintings began to get smaller. The tiny details began to get so small that artists used brushes with a single hair to paint. The painting The Swing by Fragonard is an example. This is how I view the tiny smart phones. The computers are getting smaller. They are getting so small that I'm afraid they will disappear like a tiny grain of dust in the wind.
Last, the general design of interface is curved now. the style is no longer hard and straight, but curved to protect you from dangerous sharp edges. Like new parents who add padding to coffee table corners for new walking babies. In the late phase of the baroque, the rococo artist blossomed. The rococo painters and sculptures filled ther art with tiny little curves. This loose style can be seen today on Valentine cards about heartfelt love. Full of style and beauty, but not of truly classic mindfulness.
These are all my feelings about technology, so nothing is ever stable when it comes to feelings. I am an artist after all and I do believe that technology is our generations greatest art form. I believe that tech artists are doing these things to express themselves and how are society is shifting in general. I believe all artists create not to help the world, but to help themselves. And that is totally okay in my book. I believe that techodence is exciting to see. As long as the future promises a shiny return to the classics. Like neo-classicism after the rococo in art history, I will sleep happy and my head and heart will be pleased.
I went to Walmart for the first time in about two years. It was amazing! I like walking down the cereal aisle to get inspiration for my art. The sizes of the cereal boxes and bags were so f*cking big! They were very colorful and had NEW flavors like Marshmallow and Honey. I just kept saying "wow" the whole time, because it was so cool to see. In the electronic department there were these sunglasses that played music near the ears! Those glasses were so amazing too. Also, Walmart is selling a book about the Mueller Report, which I thought was so American.
I went to Chick-fil-A and got a small IceDream Cone. It was really delicious. I felt bad after words, but felt okay too since it only cost one dollar. I ate arroz con pollo for dinner, it was okay, I added a lot of salsa to it.
On YouTube I kept watching old Shane Dawson videos. I miss him. Jeffree Star has new make-up, lip gloss for summer. Star is always creating new things, I think it's really amazing.
