Last night i saw this film CALL ME BY YOUR NAME and it was very beautiful.
I love the scenes featuring Hellenistic sculptures of beautiful young men. The theme reflected greatly in the movie. timothee chalamet and Armie Hammer. I won't go into detail about all the hot gay sex in this movie, but take my word for it there are many.
Ultimately I loved Armie Hammer more than Timothee. Maybe it was the deep voice and the older male persona that I connected to more.
The movie is set in the eighties so it was a nice nostalgic effect. A said he loved Timothee. I think it's because A grew up in the same era as the movie is set in so a lot of Timothee's character is A himself. So that was nice.
I remember reading Sexual Personae by Camille Paglia and feeling and thinking all kinds of things about what she says on the beautiful boy. It's very enlightening I think.
My biggest worry was that sometimes I felt I was being slowly suffocated by a pastel, soft, ggay pillow. Movies like this a very slow and drawn out, where I naturally love adventurous epic stories in films. But all in all this movie was a fantastic work of film. <3
