A post by Google Arts & Culture writes: "The internet is a huge network of computers all connected together, but it was the world wide web that made the technology into something that linked information together and made it accessible to everyone. In essence, the world wide web is a collection of web pages found on the network of computers - your browser uses the internet to access the world wide web.
The world wide web was invented by Sir Tim Berners- Lee in 1989."
How fun! I am so grateful and appreciative of how amazing this invention is. I get to express myself creatively on web. As an artist I am completely amazed by this. I am in awe. I am in love!
On of the my first world wide web memories was when I was in the fifth grade. I went onto the computer at my local library and google image searched the word "Penis". And an image appeared of exactly that. My heart raced and I was fascinated. I think to this day that's when I recognized the power of the internet.
This is the first time I am learning about Sir Tim Berners-Lee. First of all look how CUTE he looks. With his whimsical, blonde hair and the soft gaze in his eyes. I wonder if a beautiful man like him knows what a beautiful invention he's had. I'm pretty sure he does. Computer people like him are just so fascinating!
My most recent memory from using the world wide web is watching videos. I remember just this morning of watching Game of Thrones and A Women spraying her breast milk during Mardi Gras. From images to videos, I feel like I'm defiantly growing with the machines. OMG, I just realized the world wide web is three years older than I am. Wow what a world.
