Jay-Z was seen adventuring into the Andy Warhol exhibition From A to B and Back Again in NYC. Here's the page 6 article. There’s so much interesting things about this wonderful moment. I feel and think it’s always exciting when art stays and continues to be… POP.
First, I think that it’s very great that Jay-Z is interested in art. Last Halloween Jay-Z was dressed up as Jean-Michel Basquiat. Beyonce was dressed as Frida Kahlo. The connection that I like is the one that connects Basquiat and Warhol. Jay-Z must be seeking out all the great artists of the world. This is what artist need to become a point of HUGE interest when it comes to culture.
Second, I would LOVE to check out a museum with Jay-Z. An artist like him has a HUGE insight into the hearts, minds and lives of other artists. I would love to hear what his favorite art works were and what were his least favorite. It’d be fun to be a pop star and seeing art about pop stars.
Third, the appreciation of culture is extremely important for ANYONE. I think that having a superstar show the being interested in the arts is a noble way of life. Where I come from art is every, and art has the ability to lift the soul. I’m looking forward to the future art the Jay-Z creates, since it’s clear that he’s a highly cultivated individual and deserves and the success and glory the art world can give.
