Media is art.
For me I love this viral video of news stations reading the same script. I love how so many beautiful people can deliver a performance of thrilling entertainment. Their handsome faces, beautiful fashions and concerned eyes grab at me as they tell me about social media.
Wikipediia says "Sinclair Broadcast Group is the largest owner of television stations in the United States, currently owning or operating a total of 193 outlets across the country in 89 markets ranging in size from as large as Washington, D.C. to as small as Ottumwa, Iowa–Kirksville, Missouri."
If Sinclair Broadcast Group is to be considered an artist collective then this viral video is their highest work of art. A supreme work of portraiture, set design, film, script writing and beauty.
I love that the same script is given to each station like a repetitive assembly line of soup-cans and coca cola bottles. I recognize a level of pop art that is so massive that corporations can only create.
Several hundred of years from now no one will really care about the power struggle of the media worlds. What will be left behind instead is our art work like this.
I am Sergio C. Mata and I am a pop artist. This blog is about art, history, pop culture, technology, my life and my art. I blog about whatever inspires and interests me. <3
