I am a fan of ichael Jackson. With all the controversy surrounded the artist today I wanted reflected how I rememebred this artist. To be honest I do think that Michael Jackson was a sad human being, but his music is something that I believe is true art.
The first song I remember hearing from his is Thriller. I an iconic song that was to me peak Jackson. The sound of his voice was so unique that hearing him felt like a gift from the univers. His dance moves and beats felt like nothing I've yet to see from pop music. He was origianl without a doubt.
Then I watched as his sad life ended around the late 00's. It was shocking to see his troubles with the law. I think that his childhood was so bad that this may have stunted him as a human. Seeing documentaries about how he went through the world confirmed that a genius was also a weirdo.
Never the less art for me is less about the artists and more about the art. I love listening to Micheal Jackson's iconic music whenever I can. The other day A and I listened to a vinyl record that A had since the 70's of The Jackson Five's Motown days. It was very beautiful. Hearing Micheal's young voice sing out like an angel felt both heavenly and melancholic.
