Paul M. Sutter is an astrophysicist. He recently wrote an article for Forbes magazine "The Surprising Power of Merging Science and Art" Which I highly recommend you all check it out.
Paul says that scientists need to join hands with artists to communicate large ideas to the public. Sutter describes the struggles that scientists often have with communicating their complex world with the public at large. He believes that scientist and artist can work together to create paths of communication, because artists are great at turning huge concepts into simple forms, such as paintings. I love this a lot.
I have always been fascinated with science and technology because of this shared perspective. In fact this love is why I started a website. To have my name ending with a "dot com" is extremely exciting.
I believe that the artist should always strive to create art that can reach every soul on planet earth. Regardless of race, age, class, religion or any bodily division really. It's a huge step I feel when an artists embraces not only science, but the entire world, Great art is created when dealing with the universe at large.
God speed, scientists. Artists have their eyes open and are watching.
